The federal authority record moved to a new system in October, so a saved PDF is not the record.
Carriers send old screenshots. Brokers file them. Then the authority is revoked, or the insurance filing dropped, and the PDF still looks fine. The live record is the one that matters.
Look it up yourself
Before you tender, look up the MC number on the current federal screen. Check that the authority is active and that insurance is on file. Do it the day you dispatch, not the day you set the carrier up in the spring.
A packet you approved months ago is a starting point. It is not proof the carrier can haul today.
