A tire that was marginal in the spring will fail on a hot June afternoon.
Heat raises the pressure and finds the tire you should have replaced. A blowout on the duals is a roadside breakdown, a late delivery, and sometimes a torn-up trailer.
Look before the long haul south
Check tread and pressure before a truck leaves on a summer run. A flat spare is not a spare. If the inside dual is low, you will not see it from the driver's window. Get a gauge on it.
Do this at the yard. The shoulder of a hot interstate is a bad shop.
