Pulp the product before the reefer doors close, and write the temperature on the bill.

March is when produce starts coming north. The fight later is always the same. The shipper says it was cold. The receiver says it was not. The recorder in the trailer is not the same thing as the temperature of the fruit.

One number on the bill

Take the pulp temperature at the dock. Write it on the bill of lading with the set point. If the product is already warm, do not load it and hope the unit fixes it.

A claim without that number is two people arguing. A claim with that number is a fact.
