Do not plan a lane on a truck that has not been built.
January's new truck orders did not show fleets lining up to replace equipment. EPA 2027 is one reason they are waiting. The tractor on your dock next quarter is a tractor that is already on the road.
Ask when it was in the shop
If you are booking that truck for a steady lane, ask when it was last in the shop and what was done. A carrier who cannot answer does not have a maintenance plan. You will meet that plan as a breakdown.
A new truck on a spec sheet is not capacity. The truck with plates on it is capacity.
